2009 Summer Institute
for Educational Interpreters

August 10 - 13, 2009
Location: University of North Florida
Jacksonville, FL

Registration for the Summer Institutes coming April 1, 2009.

Institute 1 - Preparation for the EIPA Written and Performance Evaluation
Institute 2 - Preparation for the NIC Written Evaluation
Institute 3 - Preparation for the NIC Interview and Performance Evaluation
Institute 4 - Introduction to Educational Interpreting
Institute 5 - Leadership Training for Mentors/Lead Interpreters


Each institute will have limited enrollment to promote effective instruction. Housing will the responsibility of each participant. Special rates are available at the Wingate Inn. A stipend to help with housing costs will be given to participants, who are employed by a school district, traveling more than 50 miles one-way and staying in a hotel during the Institute.

Institute Hours:

Monday (8/10): 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Tuesday (8/11) 8:30 a.m. to 4:15 p.m.
Wednesday (8/12) 8:30 a.m. to 4:15 p.m.
Thursday (8/13) 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
